The Costilla Lodge is a 12,000 sq. ft. Log Structure on the Vermejo Park Ranch in northern New Mexico. All stone and timber was harvested from the ranch property. The massive logs making up the walls have been sawn in half, in order to have a frame structure with blown-in insulation in between the logs. This project is completely “Off The Grid, 3 hours away from civilization.  Even the furniture is hand-carved from timber on the ranch. This project received the 2011 Grand Prize from the Associated General Contractors.
